Yumbulagang Monastery is among the earlier constructions of Tibet and also the first palace to be constructed in the country. Though, this 2,000 year old structure was completely demolished during the Cultural evolution, but later on it was reconstructed and renovated in the 1980s. The entire history of Tibet is pictured on the painted murals on the walls of the Monastery.
